yes, to us it seems like it would be a simple process. Either it's not so simple (and I can't comprehend why that would be), or they just haven't considered it, or worse, they did and opted not to include the information.

Wow, it would be so great to see Twitter organize and show you who tweeted your tweets and how many times! I don't understand why this wasn't added already because it seems like a pretty simple filtering process and is so obviously useful.

I am waiting for that day... =)

Funny enough, people are shocked that I still actually tweet from twitter. "You don't use tweetdeck or hootsuite, or FakeItandBakeItsocialautomator?" No... I learned to use twitter just the way they built it.

But the whole RT thing... there is good and bad to it.

Hi Dana - yeah I saw that - it's a redirect to the #! version, but maintains a "200 okay" header instruct on the original. And didn't we learn though that everything after the # sign is ignored by Google? Or is using it with the ! after it some sort of signal Google recognizes? I remember them proposing a way to deal with AJAX, just not sure if this is it, as it's an area I steer away from. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see what happens to the SERP.

New Twitter arrived for me today. Aside from having the feeling I had when learning Microsoft 2007 (distaste), I'm outraged about one simple change:

Visit someone's profile and a #! has been inserted into the URI. http://twitter.com/#!/username

Imagine what that is going to do to someone's link profile. I'm already trying to ensure people use the same case I use in each profile, but casing is nothing compared to diluted link equity.

My 2 cents.

Well done write-up Alan. I will miss the good points you addressed. I'm reverting. :-)
